Instructions for Presenters

Oral Presentations

Authors may bring their presentation on either a CD or USB key to load on the Windows XP computer provided in the room. The computer will have MS Office 2007 and the latest version of Acrobat Reader. Authors are encouraged to confirm their presentation will run smoothly by checking at the Speaker Ready Room the day before their presentation. Authors are free to use their own laptop (Mac or PC) for their presentation but must ensure compatability with the LCD projector prior to the start of their session. Authors are encouraged to go to their session room to load their presentation prior to the start of the session. Rooms open at 07:30 and remain open during coffee breaks roomswill be closed between 12:00 and 12:30 and at 17:30 following the last talk of the day. Most oral presentations are 20 minutes, this includes time for questions and answers. Keynote and Award presentations are generally 40 minutes which also includes time for questions and answers.

Poster Presentations

The poster sessions will be held from 17:30–19:00 on Monday, October 21st. Presenters should install their poster starting at 10:00 on the day they present. All posters should be up by 12:00 and presenters should be in attendance at their posters from 17:30–19:00.

Posters should measure 1.2 meters wide by 1.2 meters high or smaller. Push pins and Velcro will be provided to help attach your poster. Posters must be removed at the end of the poster session; any remaining will be discarded.

Speaker Ready Room

The Speaker Ready Room is located at the Fredericton Convention Centre, St. Mary's A. It is equipped with audiovisual equipment to preview your presentation. Please check prior to the day of your session that your presentation works with the system supplied. The Speaker Ready Room will be open during the following days and times:

Sunday, October 20: 13:00–17:00
Monday, October 21: 07:00–16:00
Tuesday, October 22: 07:00–16:00
Wednesday, October 23: 07:00–14:00
